CoPilot GPS Tracks
The single best way to continue to update our maps is through the submission of your GPS tracks. If you notice a discrepancy between the road and our software, please submit the tracks so we can update them and have the correct roads in the next version.
To submit GPS tracks from your Pocket PC or Smartphone with CoPilot Live 7:
- Make sure you have internet access on your laptop/ desktop
- Install CoPilot Central on your laptop/desktop
- Connect Pocket PC or Smartphone to your laptop/ Desktop through ActiveSync
- Launch CoPilot Central Select Advanced View > Upload
- Select Help > Submit GPS Tracks
To submit GPS tracks from your Pocket PC or Smartphone with CoPilot Live 6 or earlier versions:
- Make sure you have internet access on your laptop/ Desktop
- Connect Pocket PC or Smartphone to your laptop/ Desktop through ActiveSync
- Select Explore > My Windows Mobile Device > Storage Card>My Documents
- Open gpstrack folder. Select the gpstrack files
- Copy and Paste the files somewhere on your desktop/laptop
- Simply attach the files to an email and send the email to data@alk.com
To submit GPS tracks for your laptop product
- On your laptop, find your GPS tracks
(C:\Program Files\CoPilot\Version of CoPilot\GPSTrack folder) or (C:\Program Files\ALK\Version of CoPilot\GPSTrack folder)
- Simply attach the files with .gps as the extension to an email and send the email to data@alk.com
