ALK Technologies has partnered with uShip.com, a web-based business that brings shippers and carriers together in an online marketplace. uShip now offers PC*MILER as an online tool for its participating carriers. The uShip interface allows carriers to search along a route of a dispatched truck that has space available. The PC*MILER partnership will enable carriers to bid for shipments which will make the most efficient use of trucks, drivers, and fuel.

Carrier Logistics to Offer PC*MILER Routing
and Mileage System Online
Carrier Logistics, the transportation systems consultant and software developer will offer PC*MILER to its web-based customers for the first time. Until now, PC*MILER was available only to customers of CLI’s installed software system, FACTS. It will now be available to customers using the Internet-based service, FACTS-ondemand. CLI customers who select PC*MILER Web Services will be able to add functionality such as truck specific street-level directions and tolls costs!
