Slow Economy and Overcapacity Dominate Fifth Annual ALK Transportation Technology Summit

The ongoing economic crisis, serious overcapacity, and the sometimes brutal competition among transportation providers drove the presentations and many private conversations at the annual ALK Transportation Technology Summit in Princeton, New Jersey. For the fifth year, ALK Technologies brought together leading technology providers and senior executives in this unique thought leader symposium which ran from April 20th–22nd.

McLeod Software Announces PC*MILER® Web Services
and Multi-Version Switch Interfaces


McLeod Software is now providing greater mileage calculation flexibility for its customers with the introduction of a new PC*MILER® Web Services and PC*MILER Multi-Version Switch (MVS) Interface module. “This new module will help increase customer satisfaction for our carrier customers by providing accurate mileage calculations every time. This will allow for significant savings in labor costs through more efficient routing and mileage request processing,” said Tom McLeod, president and CEO of McLeod Software.  With this new module, McLeod’s 9.2 Versions of LoadMaster® IX and PowerBroker™ II will be able to fully integrate with ALK Technologies’ PC*MILER Multi-Version Switch (MVS) mileage solution.

The nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity, Feeding America, is now using PC*MILER 23 and PC*MILER|Connect for their distance calculations.
