Tracking a route, calculating distances and recording fuel purchases for each trip made by each truck in a fleet is a painstaking and time-consuming task. Determining the tax owed to each jurisdiction is complicated by the volume of data, variety of reporting methods, and unique regulations imposed by each jurisdiction. PC*MILER|FuelTax combines the user-friendliness of the Windows® environment with ALK's industry-standard PC*MILER routing, mileage, and mapping software and knowledge of state and provincial fuel tax regulations. 13 Operations Reports include:
Detailed Trip Jurisdiction Report: For each trip, the trip number, Unit ID, leg date and distances are given by jurisdiction. Also includes truck/vehicle info.
Equipment Information Listing: Provides a summary by unit of all equipment information entered in the Equipment Information dialog box. Lists the majority of the IRP required vehicle specifications.
Tractor Odometer Report: Displays the Unit ID and distance traveled for a given date range and/or specified minimum mileage amount, enabling more efficient maintenance scheduling for vehicles.
Fuel Conflicts Report: Reports leg distances and fuel purchases that travel through jurisdictions that have no tax rate for the unit's fuel type and fuel purchased in unknown jurisdictions.
Jurisdiction Summary by Truck and/or Trailer: For each jurisdiction, information is reported on each unit that traveled through the jurisdiction.
Summary by Jurisdiction: Reports distances and volume of fuel purchased by fuel type for each jurisdiction.
Trailer Report: Displays data entered in the Trailer Information dialog box.
Trip Conflicts Report: Displays trip data that contain conflicts. Possible conflicts are: The odometer miles for a trip don't match the total distance for that trip; Comparing two trips, there are gaps/overlaps in the odometer readings; Comparing two trips, there are overlapping dates.
Trip Permits Report: Lists permit information for all trip legs traveled with permits, all permits for the same state in which your company is registered, and all trip legs traveled without a permit or registration entered into the database.
Trip Summary: Provides detailed individual trip summary information, e.g. Trip ID, Unit ID, etc.
Unit History Report: For each unit in the database, this report provides historical unit and fleet assignment information. This information can be critical during fuel and mileage tax audits.
9 Tax Calculation/Data Reports include:
Bulk Fuel Report: Reports all bulk fuel records for selected quarters, ranges of dates, units, fleets, trips, and/or jurisdictions, or for the entire database.
Fuel Purchase Summary by State: Provides a summary of all fuel purchases by state, giving the trip number, date, vendor, fuel type, volume, cost and invoice number of each purchase.
IRP Mileage Percent Report: For each unit/fleet, the distance traveled in each jurisdiction is reported including the percentage of distance traveled.
Late Data Report: Reports the filing status for all trips and fuel purchases within the specified time period, separated out by items reported and not reported in that time period.
Over/Under Fuel Purchase Report: For a fleet/unit, expected fuel purchases in each jurisdiction are calculated and compared to actual fuel purchased.
Weight/Distance Tax Report: For each unit, all the relevant mileage data is calculated for weight distance taxes using the appropriate tax rates and calculations for each state that imposes such a tax. (Currently OR, NY, NM, KY, and ID impose such taxes.)
Owner\Operator Tax Credit Report: Provides information on the amount of fuel and mileage tax owed or credit accumulated by individual units.
Prince Edward Island Prorate Tax Report: Calculates the new Prorate Revenue Tax implemented by the Province of Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Tax Data Report: Reports distances and volume of fuel purchased by fuel type for each jurisdiction, when date ranges are provided, it does not include trip legs or fuel purchases that fall outside the range of dates.
