PC*MILER|Rail-BatchPro is a batch-processing tool that permits the simultaneous processing of large volumes of Origin-Destination pairs entered as city/state names, SPLC's, FSAC's, ERPC's (3-3-3s) or R260 junction codes rather than entering routes individually. ![]()
PC*MILER|Rail-BatchPro gives users the power and flexibility to handle tasks involving the processing of large volumes of origin/destination records. Instead of entering and running routes one-by-one, a large database of origin/destination records created using an electronic spreadsheet program, a database management program, or a text file editor, can be processed automatically through the user interface. Simply stated, the module works as follows: users create an input file of origin/destination pairs, users set up PC*MILER|Rail-BatchPro according to their routing and output preferences, PC*MILER|Rail-BatchPro then produces an output file based on those preferences. There are eight types of output files that can be created from an input file. They are as follows:
