Press Release: January 6, 2010FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CoPilot® Live GPS Navigation Adds Location Sharing via Facebook® Platform January 6, 2010 - Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas - ALK Technologies today announced the launch of the CoPilot® LiveLink Facebook application, a free service that allows customers using CoPilot Live GPS navigation app for iPhone, Android and Windows Phones to share their location information in real-time with their Facebook friends. CoPilot users can also automatically update their Facebook profile with their current location. Demonstrations are available at the CoPilot Live booth 35319 in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the Consumer Electronics Show, January 7-10th. LiveLink location sharing is available as a standard feature within the CoPilot Live v8 GPS navigation app. It has previously allowed customers to share their location with friends or family via a dedicated website or on-screen within CoPilot Live. The new Facebook application extends this service to the world's most popular social networking site. Facebook users who do not own a copy of CoPilot Live can also update and share their location manually. Michael Kornhauser, Managing Director, ALK Technologies said "CoPilot has always allowed people to share their location with selected others while on the move. Now it's possible to let your Facebook friends know not only 'what I am doing' but also 'where I am going'." To install the CoPilot LiveLink Facebook application, simply log on to Facebook and search for CoPilot LiveLink. You can invite all your friends to view your location updates or add/remove them individually. If you do not wish to share your location at all, you can switch-off LiveLink from within CoPilot Live on the phone or simply deselect all friends.
