Press Release: June 13, 2007FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Great Ice Cream Run Benefits Make-A-Wish Foundation Princeton, New Jersey – June 13, 2007 – YUM!! ALK Technologies, Inc., today announced that blue-tooth CoPilot will be guiding sweet-tooth drivers participating in The Great Ice Cream Run, a Mini Cooper-friendly weeklong tour, from Florida to Maine. Along the way, Mini Cooper drivers are stopping at shops that serve up scoops of homemade ice cream. Contributions will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Rob Raia, Technical Support Supervisor at ALK Technologies, Inc., said, “I am joining the cravin’ caravan at Heisler’s in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. By accessing ALK’s GPS navigation system, CoPilot Live, I’ll be able to track the cars’ location and send messages to drivers. You will also be able to track me as I drive the route. CoPilot will not, however, report on how much weight I’ll be gaining.” To view participants and their locations along the way, access the CoPilot Live tracking link by clicking here. In addition to tracking, CoPilot’s Points-of-Interest (POIs) database includes 6 million locations, which are searchable by category. There are over 30 Mini-Coopers participating in the run organized by Robyn Resch of Plainsboro, New Jersey. All pledges from the run will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation which has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions since 1980.
