My husband and I purchased your Co-Pilot Navigator last year to assist us when traveling in our RV. It has proved invaluable. We are planning a cross-country trip this summer and were wondering if there are any updates that might be available specifically for RV's.

I have had 4 versions of CoPilot and thought all were great. I now have CoPilot Live laptop 10 and have had half a dozen friends get CoPilot for their
RV travel. A group of us are going on a trip from NY to Alaska and already have our overnight stops and points of interest set up in CoPilot. One thing very convenient, is that I can copy the trip files from one Campsite to the next on a Jump drive and give it to the RV pilots to copy into their trp file directory so everyone will be seeing the same route on their Laptop computers. If we get split up due to traffic for whatever reason, they will know exactly where to go to find us. We plan on traveling for two months and probably cover about 10,000
miles before we arrive home. Your programing people have made a bunch of RVers very happy. Keep up the good work.

I would recommend CoPilot to anyone looking for a navigational system. I flew into Houston for Easter weekend and rented a car. I was concerned about navigating my way through such a congested city and on a holiday weekend to boot, but with CoPilot it was a breeze! I purchased CoPilot for my Samsung Blackjack a few weeks ago and I just wanted to tell you how much I like the product. My frequent business travels require me to travel to a variety of locations, so I was looking for a mobile GPS solution (paying $10 a day at car rental places can quickly add up!). CoPilot Passes the Road Test
Your device successfully got me from NY to Sea Island, GA and back. It is a remarkable product. Set up was very easy. I have a tendency to throw the directions in the backseat and "figure it out on my own" and it was very intuitive.
The new chipset for the GPS receiver is amazing. After the first leg of the trip with it perched on my dashboard, I buried it in the console and it still worked just fine.
In all, just a terrific product. I'm having a blast with it.

I have been using CoPilot Live 6 on my Treo 700W for a few weeks now. I just wanted to let you know that your product has performed above my expectations. My wife and I tried to confuse CoPilot by making a few wrong turns and it automatically updates a new route on the fly. I like the way it changes from driver safety mode to a detailed map when approaching complex exits on the highway. Just love it.

When I decided to purchase a GPS unit for my personal automobile travel I spent a long time on the web reviewing several products and reading reviews. I eventually decided to go with laptop software. When I first came across CoPilot I looked it over and moved on, it was the most expensive of all the laptop applications and a GPS is a GPS, right?
However, the more I learned the more I was drawn back to your product until one day I decided that in spite of the cost CoPilot Live Laptop 8 had so many great features that it was my choice.
I have had your fine product for about three months and have used it only a few times when I had to drive somewhere I had never gone before. The very first time I used CoPilot was to go to a graduation party in New York State. We were given directions but I decided to go with CoPilot. Why not- an acid test!
I cannot express how amazed I was at the efficiency of the program. We were even told which lane to get into on the New York Throughway. After we exited the throughway this incredible software took us over an absolute maze of back roads and delivered us smack to our destination. While we were at the party, we overheard several people saying how difficult it was to arrive due to traffic congestion. We experienced no problem whatsoever and the return trip was just as efficient. I got a kick out of the voice prompt when we left. I pulled out of our parking space knowing that I had to do a 180-degree turn only to hear the prompt instruct me to do exactly that!
I am so pleased with the CoPilot product that I recommend it to anyone. It is an absolute pleasure to find a product that does exactly what it claims. As an aside, I constructed a very inexpensive "cradle" out of 1/2 inch PVC pipe and rubber insulation that sits on the back seat of my car. It elevates the laptop a couple of inches for air circulation and shock absorption. I employ one of the rear seatbelts to secure the laptop and use a CD tape adapter to pipe the voice prompts through the car radio. Works great!

We had flown to Philadelphia, PA for vacation and were driving to Harrisburg for a week of fun when we found out around 9pm that our hotel room was given away! We did not know what to do since this was 4th of July weekend. I pulled over, turned on my Pocket PC, and started CoPilot. We searched the Points-of-Interest Database for hotels in the Harrisburg area and started making calls to a few that were on the list. We found one ten miles from where we were and I setup CoPilot to guide us to this hotel. It had taken two and a half hours to find a hotel initially. In the end, CoPilot helped us find a hotel within minutes and then guided us to the front door!
If not for CoPilot, we are not sure we would have had a place to stay that night! During our entire week of travel, not once did this product let us down! Thanks for a great product.

I have been using CoPilot Live | Laptop software for approximately three years. I have a special desk built in my motor home near my driving station on which my laptop sits. The CoPilot GPS Receiver is placed in the front window. My coach doesn't move until CoPilot is running and ready to navigate.
Each year we travel between twelve and fifteen thousand miles in our motor coach. However, this year we will exceed twenty-four thousand miles by the end of summer. I am retired, so CoPilot is used mostly for recreational travel.
I have tried other systems, but CoPilot is the best. The features that it offers, the voices to choose from, and the maps are by far the best I have seen. The advance notice of turns greatly helps when maneuvering a large coach and tow car.
There have been several instances when paper maps or road signs indicated I should go one direction and CoPilot says another. At first I would follow the road signs, but quickly learned that CoPilot knew more and was more up to date. I now only follow CoPilot. It has saved me many disconnects with the tow car, lots of fuel, and certainly lots of time.
I cannot say enough good things about the CoPilot system. The software is easy to load and use, the directions are easy to read and follow, and the staff at ALK is very helpful and knowledgeable.

I have been a CoPilot customer for a little more than three years. I use CoPilot Live | Pocket PC 5 on a Pocket PC Phone- specifically the Audiovox VX6600 from Verizon. I have family in three different parts of the country, so we travel frequently for visits. Recently, we took a 1200-mile (each way) road trip with a few side trips and CoPilot was our navigator for the entire trip.
I use CoPilot mostly for pleasure, although it was very useful on a business trip to Atlanta recently. I found my way around town as if I had lived there all my life. Just before I got CoPilot Live | Pocket PC 5, my wife and I moved to Northern Virginia from Seattle. Neither of us had ever been to this area. CoPilot took most of the stress of finding our way around in a new area away.
I recently purchased an Audi that came with a navigation system. The system it came with is far less convenient to use than CoPilot.
CoPilot Live | Pocket PC software has changed my life. I am fairly absent minded and have trouble remembering my way around in unfamiliar and sometimes-familiar places. Before I had CoPilot, navigating in unfamiliar areas (and even in my home area) was at best a challenge and on bad days a nightmare. Now I can find my way around with the confidence of a Manhattan taxi driver. People say, "just read a map," but that just isn't practical for me.

I have been using Pocket CoPilot since its 3.0 version for probably about four to five years. I currently use Pocket CoPilot 5.0 for my Pocket PC Phone. I use an iPAQ 6315. I travel about 30,000 miles per year and use CoPilot mostly for my business trips. I do church computer software in the state of Georgia and am often on the road three or four days a week. I love CoPilot because when I am in my car traveling alone, I don't have to stop to look at maps and try to figure out where my next turn will be. It is also nice because when I leave a location and call my husband to tell him that I am on the way home, I can give him an approximate time when I will arrive. Also, if there are ever detours because of construction, CoPilot revises my route and helps me get to my destination.
Once when we were coming back from my niece's wedding in another state, we were using CoPilot so we could get home easier. We came to an intersection where there had been an accident and the policemen were routing cars down another road. We were in a strange city late at night with a carload of family but were able to follow the directions from CoPilot and get back to our original route with only a few miles of detour. We would never have known to go the way it directed us and we would probably have gone many miles out of our way if it had not been for CoPilot. I do not own any other GPS Navigation System. I purchased one and tried it before I bought CoPilot but returned it almost immediately when I could never get it to figure directions from my home to a city in the same state only 130 miles away. It didn't hold a candle to CoPilot.

I have been using “CoPilot” GPS software on my laptop since 1999, the year that I retired. We had planned to travel around the US and Canada in a motor home in the summertime after I retired.
I found out about CoPilot via the Internet. I started with Door-to-Door CoPilot and each year upgraded to the latest Laptop software. This is a distinct advantage because ALK adds new features and updates the street-level map data each year in a very effective way.
I now use CoPilot Live | Laptop 8 for navigating around the US in my motor home and CoPilot Live | Pocket PC software on an iPAQ Pocket PC for use in the car that I tow behind the motor home.
Using our CoPilot systems, we have traveled to every state in the US including Alaska and many provinces in Canada. We travel from between three and fifteen thousand miles a year using CoPilot software for guidance.
I use CoPilot mostly for pleasure but I also use it to find meeting locations. This is where CoPilot Live | Pocket PC software comes in handy.
There are many reasons why I enjoy using CoPilot products.
- If I get lost while traveling (by not paying attention to CoPilot and missing a turn) it will automatically recalculate a new route and get me back on track to my destination.
- CoPilot gives me the ability to enter “custom” places such as campgrounds that may not be included in the program. I can do this with an accuracy of several hundred feet. I use this feature frequently.
- CoPilot allows me to change the suggested route with ease to pick up sites that we want to stop at en route to our destination.
- Another feature that I enjoy is when traveling on state highways and back roads that are not well marked with road signs and I come to an unmarked fork in the road, I just look at the CoPilot map display and see which fork to take.
- Since I carry a printer in the motor home, CoPilot provides me with the capability to generate custom maps. For example, I can create accurate street maps to use for sight seeing and hiking in cities and other areas.
One of the very first trips we took using CoPilot my wife (my other CoPilot) and I were traveling through Wisconsin and missed a turn (we had the audio turned down on CoPilot). We decided to see where CoPilot took us. It took us on a very nice side trip through the countryside and got us back on our planned route with ease. This convinced me that we would never leave home in the motor coach without CoPilot running on my laptop.
I really have no need to own any other GPS navigation system as long as I have CoPilot.
