Installation and CD

  1. Will CoPilot 2002 run on Windows XP?
  2. I have lost or did not receive my Installation Key Code and I can't install the program. What should I do?
  3. How do I install my data CD (East and West coast) to my hard drive? Please note both the East and West coast data CD requires approximately 950mb of hard disk space. See below if you have two hard drives (i.e. C and D) and you want to install it on the second hard drive.
  4. I have two hard drives and would like to install the Installation CD to my first hard drive and the Data to my second hard drive. How do I do this?
  5. The program does not automatically start installing when I insert the install CD. How can I install it?
  6. When I try to run CoPilot 2002 I get a message that says "CoPilot 2002 Can't Find the Data CD" and the program won't start. What can I do?

Trip Entry

  1. CoPilot 2002 is only giving me directions from City-to-City In Planning Mode and is not taking me to or from the specific addresses that I have entered. Why not?
  2. When I try to find an address using a Zip Code, the program can't find the address. Does that mean the address isn't in there?
  3. CoPilot 2002 doesn't have the Zip Code of the address that I'm looking for. How can I find the address?
  4. The trip planner window does not display correctly. How can I correct this?

GPS Receiver and Tracking

  1. I am using a new USB GPS receiver and have it plugged in but CoPilot keeps saying "There is no GPS receiver attached. Please attach your receiver or select the Planning Mode option" but my GPS receiver is plugged in?
  2. CoPilot keeps saying "There is no GPS receiver attached. Please attach your receiver or select the Planning Mode option" but my Serial GPS receiver is plugged in?
  3. Can I use a different GPS unit with the CoPilot 2002. If not so why?
  4. I'm using CoPilot for the first time and the program won't start tracking me. What's wrong?
  5. The manual states I need to let Windows boot up fully each time before I plug in my Serial GPS receiver. Is this true?

Speech and Voice Recognition

  1. CoPilot will not speak to me or recognize my voice. When I look at the Preferences under the Edit menu, the "Speak Feedback Out Loud" and "Listen For Voice Commands" options are grayed out. How can I fix this?
  2. CoPilot's speech sounds like garbled nonsense. How can I make it understandable?
  3. CoPilot is speaking in slow motion. How can I speed up the speech so that it sounds normal?

Error Messages

  1. I'm getting the following error message when trying to plan a trip: This program has performed an illegal operation and will shut Down. Assertion failed p!=NULL, file comp/ankole.h, line 161
  2. I'm getting the following error message: "CoPilot caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL"
  3. I'm receiving the error message "CoPilot has caused an invalid page fault in module PCMGW32.DLL"

Printing

  1. If you need to print a map immediately, you can print maps using the following procedure:
  2. My maps will only print on half a page. How can I get them to print over the entire page?
  3. When I try to print a map I get Fatal Exception Error "OE0137:BFF9A07C". What can I do to fix this?
  4. The features of my maps don't look very good when the maps are printed. How can I change the appearance of different map features? (This applies to routes that obscure road names, roads that are too light to be seen, and a variety of other inconvenient printed map features)
  5. I get a "Spool32" error when I try to print maps from CoPilot 2002. How can I fix this?
