4. I have two hard drives and would like to install the Installation CD to my first hard drive and the Data CD to my second hard drive. How do I do this?

Note: For the instructions below, C represents your first hard drive and D represents your second hard drive.

Once CoPilot (disk 1 of 3) has been installed on the first hard drive (C) follow these simple instructions:

  1. Insert the data CD (East or West) into the CD-ROM drive.
  2. Double click on My Computer
  3. Double Click on your CD ROM drive.
  4. Double click on the Install folder.
  5. Double click on the seteup.exe file and an "Installation Wizard" window will appear and guide you through the process.
  6. In the "Choose a Data CD Location" window click on BROWSE.
  7. Delete the default drive letter and replace it with the letter of your 2nd hard drive (D in this example) that you want to install the data CD to and click on OK.
  8. Click Yes to create the directory if prompted.
  9. Next make sure the CP2002.ini file is pointing to the right drive.
    1. Go to your Start button --> Programs --> Windows Explorer --> and click on the drive letter which corresponds to your 2nd hard drive (D in this example).
    2. Within the drive the data CD is installed to, find the folder "Program Files" and double-click on it so that all of your program folders are listed.
    3. Find the "TravRoute" folder and double click on it.
    4. Find the folder "CP2002" and double-click on it.
    5. Find the folder APP and double click on it
    6. You'll see a file named "CP2002.ini" listed among other folders. The icon looks like a little notepad with a spiral binding on top and a little yellow wheel in it. Double-click on the CP2002.ini file and a Notepad window will open.
    7. The second line of the file should read: LRGridDir=D:\Program Files\TravRoute\CP2002\DataCD". Make sure the letter between "=" and ":" is your drive letter (the drive letter you installed the data CD to). In this example, it is D. If the drive letter is incorrect, change it to the correct letter. Go to file and click on SAVE AS, and then click Save, and then click on Yes to save over existing file.
    8. Close Windows Explorer and run your TravRoute program normally.
