2. Can I use my saved Trips, Custom Places and Favorites from my previous CoPilot version in CoPilot 2003?

NOTE: Only the saved Trips, Custom Places and Favorites from CoPilot 2001 and 2002 can be copied over and used in CoPilot 2003. To copy your Trips, Custom Places and Favorites from CoPilot 2001/2002 to CoPilot 2003 please follow the instructions below.

Tip: To Copy multiple files simultaneously hold down the Ctrl button on the key board and Left click on each file so they become highlighted. Once all files you want to copy are highlighted Right click on one file then select Copy.

Trips and Favorites

  1. Double click on My Computer.
  2. Double click on C: drive.
  3. Double click on Program Files.
  4. Double click on TravRoute folder.
  5. Double click on the CP2001 or CP2002 folder.
  6. Double click on the Save folder.
  7. Copy the following files:
    • favorite.lst (this is your Favorites list)
    • Any files that end with .trp (these are your saved trips)
  8. Now go back to the TravRoute folder and double click on the CP2003 folder.
  9. Double click on the Save folder.
  10. Now Paste the files you copied from the CP2001\2002 Save folder into the CP2003 Save folder. Right click anywhere in the folder and select Paste.
  11. Custom Places
  12. To copy your Custom Places follow steps 1-5.
  13. Double click on the CP2001 or Cp2002 Places folder.
  14. Copy the following files:
    • cPoi.adr
    • cPoi.dat
    • cPoi.nms
  15. Now go back to the TravRoute folder and double click on the CP2003 folder.
  16. Double click on the Save folder.
  17. Now Paste the files you copied from the CP2001\2002 Save folder into the CP2003 Save folder. Right click anywhere in the folder and select Paste.

    Now all saved Trips, Custom Places and Favorites from CoPilot 2001\2002 will be available in CoPilot 2003.
