When I try to open Copilot the icon shows in the task bar, but CoPilot never appears on the screen.
Or
When I try to open CoPilot I receive a message saying "CoPilot has encountered a problem and needs to close"

There is a conflict with Copilot and the current screen resolutin setting. Please follow the steps below to change your screen resolution:

Windows 2000/XP:

  1. Right click on a blank area of your desktop and select Properties.
  2. This will bring up a display properties window then click on Settings.
  3. If your screen resolution is set to 1440 x 900, 1280 x 768, 1152 x 864 you will need to lower your resolution to allow CoPilot to open.

*Note - This is a temporary workaround, please send your contact information to support@alk.com and request to be added to issue number 17205. When a permanent solution is available someone in technical support will notify you.

Windows Vista:

  1. Right click on a blank area of your desktop and select Personalize.
  2. This will bring up a display properties window then click on Display Settings.
  3. If your screen resolution is set to 1440 x 900, 1280 x 768, 1152 x 864 you will need to lower your resolution to allow CoPilot to open.
