When connecting my CF GPS to my Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC I get the following message "No GPS signal, Please check connections". How can I fix this?
NOTE: If your CF GPS has a serial number that is not within the range of E31950001 - E31950500 you have a version 1 receiver not compatible with the new operating system. Please send an email request to techsupport@alk.com for instructions on how to send back the receiver. We can manually reset the receiver here to make it compatible with the new operating system
Our new CF GPS receivers that are Win Mobile 2003 compatible just need to be setup so the OS recognizes it is connected. Please follow the directions below.
1. Open CoPilot on your Pocket PC
2. select on Start->Settings->GPS->Setup GPS
3. select on "Other" and then "Manual". Now set the "GPS Com Port and Baud Rate" section; select the COM port and Baud Rate provided by your GPS manufacturer. If you do not know this information, select the "Automatic", then select "Next" and CoPilot Live will search all available ports for your receiver.
4. select "Finish" to close the GPS Setup.
Note: CoPilot will remember the GPS settings on exit, so you will only need to configure your GPS on the first use
