2. I'm using Door to Door 2000 Deluxe for the first time and the program won't start tracking me. What's wrong?

  1. Make sure "Tracking" is turned ON in the map window. If tracking is activated, but you are still not getting a signal, please move to section II.
  2. The first time you use Door to Door 2000 Deluxe, the GPS antenna/receiver can take up to 15 minutes to initialize, locate satellites and figure out exactly where you are on the planet. To assure yourself that you are getting GPS data, click on the GPS menu and select "Status". If you see a continuous line of symbols running across the bottom of the window, then the GPS unit is working properly and it is just a matter of time until it locates your position.
