The FAQs below are for PC*MILER.

 

 

 For Single User Installations (Local Installations from CD):

 Installation:
*NOTE: For multi users (Lan) installations only. Do NOT use with single user installs.

• I’m getting the following error when trying to open PC*MILER 21 on a workstation in a network environment What can I do?
  
  
  

• When I am trying to install PC*MILER, I am getting an error message: 'Recursion too deep; stack overflow'. What can I do?
• Can I install PC*MILER on more than one computer from the cd?
• I received my new version of PC*MILER, but I haven't received my Product Key Codes yet. What do I do?
• I only ordered PC*MILER but in the product packaging I received there was also a CD labeled PC*MILER|Streets - Street-level Data CD. When I started the installation, why was I never prompted to enter in this second "Street-level Data CD"?

 

Performance:

• I have PC*MILER installed on the Network and when I try to open the program, it looks like it's loading but it seems to be a little slow when opening. What can I do to speed things up?
• PC*MILER crashes and I get memory allocation failure error messages. What can I do?
• PC*MILER slows down significantly for no apparent reason.. What can I do?

 

 Licensing/Activation:

• I am installing a demo/trial version but I am not an administrator. After installation, the software does not run unless I am an administrator. What can I do?
• After installing PC*MILER 21 on my workstations in a network environment, the program appears as if it has not been activated and will not complete the activation process. What can I do?
• I have a multi-user PC*MILER, and when I try and start the program, I get a message that says I am out of licenses. Not all the user's are in PC*MILER. What can I do?
• I have a demo/trial version of PC*MILER but every time I open up the program, a Status Screen prompts me to Activate the License. Why?
• During the installation of PC*MILER when I try to activate the product using this key code, the following error appears: "Desktop Product Key Detected - Incorrect Type Specified."
• During the installation of PC*MILER when I try to activate the product using this key code, the following error appears: "Network Product Key Detected - Incorrect Type Specified."

 

 General Usage:

  If I click ok, the application opens, but then I get the following error. What can I do?
  
  
  
  
• On a round-trip, why are routes and distances sometimes different in the two directions?
