For users of PC*MILER|Connect Versions 17.x who use PC*MILER|Connect in a multi-threaded environment it is highly recommended that your tripopts.vp file be set to read-only. The default locations are as follows:

Version 17.x:
C:\Program Files\ALK Technologies\Pmw170\NA\Info\tripopts.vp

To set these files to read-only, use the utility provided by your operating
system. For example, in Windows 2000:

1. start File Explorer (right-click on Start button, click on Explore)
2. find the tripopts.vp file
3. display file Properties (right-click on the file, click on Properties)
4. check "Read-Only" and click OK.
