PC*MILER|Rail: Updates & Patches !!! TECH ALERT !!! PC*MILER|Rail v14 This patch fixes the following issues:
Save this file to any computer that runs PC*MILER Rail v14. Locate the file downloaded, and double click on it. It will run a setup program that will copy the necessary files to patch the application. Note: This patch contains the files for Rail, Batchpro, and Connect. Depending on what was purchased and installed, it will copy only what is necessary. PC*MILER|Rail v13 Workstation install fix This patch updates and replaces your client install setup files with a network install of Rail 13. Extract these files to the \\server\[install directory]\network directory where you installed Rail 13 on your server and replace existing files. Then you can run (or rerun) the workstation setup to fix a problem with the client installs. PC*MILER|Rail v13 Override Patch and Override Files The override feature is intended as a workaround for data corrections that would be incorporated into the next product release. If you are interested in knowing which files are being replaced, please uncheck the “overwrite files without prompting” option in the WinZip Self Extract window. The override files would replace the ones located in the RAILNET subdirectory of your PC*MILER|Rail Windows installation. Each file contains a number of records where a "bad" code is shown with its acceptable synonym. The OVERRIDE.SCA file contains translations for new SCAC that PC*MILER|Rail 13 does not recognize. The OVERRIDE.SPL file contains translations for SPLC codes that PC*MILER|Rail 13 does not recognize. Please note that the override.SPL file that comes with this patch was found to cause a side effect on valid freight stations that shared SPLCs with some of the new freight stations in the override.spl file. We highly recommend users to delete the override.spl file in the following location: ...\Program Files\ALK Technologies\PCRWIN13\Railnet\Override.spl However, the patch itself is necessary for the Override.sca file to work. | |
