PC*MILER|Rail 15 – Tech Alert (9/8/08)
The patch contains:
- Reserve, LA was updated to geocode to its correct location.
- For Windows XP users, in Interactive when trying to print the Detailed Report the crash was fixed
and corrected.
- In PC*MILER|Rail-Connect:
- When using an invalid TripID, or using a deleted trip and calling AddStop, the intermittent crash was fixed and corrected.
- When comparing a small group of routes run in PC*MILER|Rail-Connect and in Interactive, the minor differences in mileage
have been fixed and corrected.
- In PC*MILER|Rail-TCP/IP:
- If one creates a trip with PCRSNewTrip or if a trip is referenced that has already been deleted or does not otherwise
exist, the potential TCP/IP server crash was fixed and corrected.
- After passing several calls to the TCP/IP Server that return error code -307 "Invalid place name (city/state or geocode not found)", the server would crash and did not create a new trip. This issue was fixed and corrected.
- When the total number of sessions against the TCP/IP server reaches between 3,961 and 3,966 transactions, the server
will no longer receive connections for a short period of time. Attempts to connect to the server are refused.
This was occurring regardless of whether the transaction returned mileage or whether an error occurred.
This issue was fixed and corrected.
Close all open instances of PC*MILER|Rail. If you have a third-party program open that accesses and PC*MILER|Rail component,
please close them before continuing. Save the file below to any and all computers that runs PC*MILER|Rail 15.
Locate the file downloaded, and double click on it. It will run a setup program that will copy the necessary files to patch the application.
NOTE: This patch contains the files for PC*MILER|Rail, PC*MILER|Connect and PC*MILER|TCP/IP. Depending on what was purchased and installed, it will copy only what is necessary.

PC*MILER|Rail v14 – Tech Alert
This patch fixes the following issues:
- When using AutoRouter with Include Terminal Switch RR(s) setting, the teminal switch R260 junction code that was omitted
from the output RRs and Junctions Route Sequence has been added
- Fixes an issue where some multi-carrier routes failed with “Railroad Locations are Disconnected” error message prompt
- Fixes an issue where Non-Familized route setting caused some routes to fail
- Minor improvements to the BatchPro Graphics User Interface, the Topic look up in Help menu and the sample demo file in Excel
Save this file to any computer that runs PC*MILER Rail v14. Locate the file downloaded, and double click on it.
It will run a setup program that will copy the necessary files to patch the application.
Note: This patch contains the files for Rail, Batchpro, and Connect. Depending on what was purchased and installed,
it will copy only what is necessary.
