3. How do I specify a location for my data download?

Note: If there is data stored on the device's main memory, and on a Compact Flash card in the device, Pocket CoPilot will use the Compact Flash Card by default. To have it use the device's main memory you must remove the card.

Pocket CoPilot gives you three options for downloading data:

  1. Device Main Memory
To install to the Pocket PC Device Memory (In this example, Pocket CoPilot has detected that there is no Compact Flash Card in the device). Click Next to go to the Data selection window.
  2. Compact Flash card in Pocket PC
To install to a compact Flash Card in the device. (In this example, Pocket CoPilot has detected that all options are available). Click Next to go to the Data selection window.
  3. Compact Flash Card
    1. Compact Flash card reader. You will be asked to specify the driver letter associated with your Compact Flash Card Reader. Click Next to go to the Data Selection window.
    2. You can also download to a Compact Flash Card through a PCMCIA adapter. You would simply identify the associated drive letter under the Compact Flash Card Reader option.
