2. When attempting to uninstall Pocket CoPilot 2.0 GPS Jacket Edition from your Pocket PC you receive the following message: "unable to remove program becausefiles\windows\iPAQDDK.DLL and \Windows\OptPak.DLL are read only or these files are in use".
Follow the instructions below to uninstall the program:
- First try to perform a soft reset to the iPAQ. There is a tiny hole on the bottom of the iPAQ. Depress it using your stylus. Try uninstalling Pocket CoPilot after your iPAQ has restarted.
- If the soft reset does not work please follow the instructions below:
- Download and save the Uninstalljacketdriver.exe file to your desktop.
- Using Activsync copy the file and paste it in the My Documents folder on your Pocket PC. To do so make sure your iPAQ is on it's cradle and connected to your PC through Activsync.
- Locate the uninstalljacketdriver.exe file on your desktop, Right click and select "Copy".
- On your Desktop in the Activsync window click on Explore.
- Next click on Mobile Device.
- Next click on My Pocket PC
- Next locate the My Documents folder and double click on it.
- Right click in the My Documents folder then select "Paste".
- On your Pocket PC locate the file in the My Documents folder and tap on it. You will not see any response when tapping on the file.
- After tapping on the file perform a Soft Reset then uninstall the application
- Tap on Start, Settings, System.
- Tap on Remove Programs.
- Tap on TravRoute Pocket CoPilot to highlight it.
- Tap on Remove to uninstall Pocket CoPilot.
