3. When attempting to install Pocket CoPilot 2.0 GPS Jacket Edition to my iPAQ I get the following error message: "Failed to load optpak bus driver". What is wrong?

This problem occurs when the attempt to load the GPS jacket drivers fails, leaving a read-only file in the Operating System. The file must be removed from the Windows CE OS before attempting to reinstall because it cannot be deleted or overwritten. To remove the file you must perform a Hard Reset. To do so please follow the directions below.

  • Before performing a Hard Reset back up any files or programs (i.e. contacts, calendar) to a CF card or your desktop computer.
  • Perform a Hard Reset to your device following the instructions outlined in you Compaq iPAQ user's manual.
