4. When attempting to download data to my compact flash card when inserted into the GPS Jacket, Pocket CoPilot 3.0 does not recognize it. How can I confirm the Jacket recognizes the compact flash card?
- Under Start - Settings - System - Memory - Storage Card ----> Check to see if the storage card is recognized.
NOTE: Neither Pocket CoPilot nor the GPS Jacket Drivers need to be installed to use the CF slot on the GPS Jacket
- If the card is recognized, there will be a summary of the free/used space on the card. If this exists, the hardware is fine. Try uninstalling Pocket CoPilot and reinstalling. If the problem persists try uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft Activesync.
- If it is not recognized, "Not Installed" will be displayed next to the "Total storage card memory:" description. If this situation exists, verify the card has been inserted properly and remove the card and insert again.
- If the problem still persists, if you have another CF expansion pack perform the same test with the other expansion pack to determine if the card is recognized. This will eliminate the possibility of a faulty CF card.
- On the desktop, the option to download data to the 'Storage Card in Device' should be inactive. The iPAQ must be connected via Activesync, with CF card in GPS Jacket.
- If performing the tests above proves the GPS unit to be defective please contact our Customer Service team for Warranty and replacement information.
