2. After installing Pocket CoPilot 3.0 GPS Jacket edition I get the following error message on my Pocket PC "Failed to load optpakbus driver". How can I fix this?
- First time user who did not have the Pocket CoPilot 2.0 GPS jacket edition and received this error the first time they tried to install the program.
- Make sure the program was not partially installed.
- On the Pocket PC tap on Start, Settings, System, Remove Programs.
- If Pocket CoPilot is listed tap to highlight then tap on Remove.
- If Pocket CoPilot Speech is listed tap to highlight and then tap Remove.
- Copy the uninstalljacketdriver.exe utility to the Pocket PC to change the attributes of the GPS drivers.
- Connect Pocket PC to PC through Activesync.
- Insert Pocket CoPilot 3.0 Installation cd.
- Double Click on My Computer.
- Right click on the cd-rom drive then select Open.
- Double click on the GPS folder.
- Right click on the uninstalljacketdriver.exe file and then select Copy.
- Open or restore the Activesync window and click on Explore.
- Double click on the My Pocket PC icon.
- Double click on the My Documents folder.
- Right click anywhere in the My Documents window then select Paste.
- Execute the uninstalljacketdriver.exe on the Pocket PC.
- On the Pocket PC tap on Start, Programs.
- Tap on File Explorer.
- In file explorer if at the top it says My Device tap on it then select My Documents. Need to get to My Documents so use the drop down menu at the top.
- Once in My Documents locate the uninstalljacketdriver.exe file and tap on it.
- The user is not going to see anything happen but they may get a message stating "Pocket CoPilot has been successfully uninstalled".
- Now install the program again. If this does not work you will have to perform a Hard Reset to your Pocket PC.
WARNING: Performing a Hard Reset to your device will result in a loss of all existing data. Please perform a Backup of all programs before resetting your device. Please refer to you Ipaq users manual for complete instructions.
