- Select the distance radius around the city and enter it in the Distance Around City to Download box. Hit Enter.
- Click Next to verify the area you have selected. Notice that in the Data Download Wizard toolbar you will be shown the amount of memory your selected area requires, and the amount of memory you have available. Once you are satisfied with the selection click Next.

- Type the city, state or ZIP code in the City, State or ZIP Code box and hit Enter. You may also enter an Address (optional). If so type in the address then hit Enter. Then Next.
- You can adjust the zoom and detail levels of the map by using the icons on the Data Download Wizard toolbar.

- Trip - This allows you to download a data area based on a route you have selected:
- Type in the city, state or ZIP code of your starting point in the City, State or ZIP Code box and hit Enter. You may also type in the street address. Click Add Stop.
- Using the same method as above, enter your destination and any stops you may be making along the way. OR, you may enter a destination and/or waypoint by selecting from your list of Favorites, or using the Points of Interest tab. To enter a point-of-interest, enter the city in which you would like to search in the In City/State box and hit. Select a category from the Category drop-down menu. To narrow the search further, you may also select a sub-type from the Of Type drop-down menu. Enter the first few letters of the place name in the POIs that start with box (if you have no specific place in mind, leave this box empty). Click the Find button to begin the search. Select a place by highlighting it and clicking Select. Click Add Stop, then Select Data.
- By default a 10 mile radius around all stops and a width of 10 miles on the corridor which connects them will be highlighted. Select Options to personalize these settings.
- Name the map area. You will then be given the option to either select additional map data, or download the selected areas to your Pocket PC. Map Data Selection See the diagram on the following pages for step-by-step instructions on downloading data to your Pocket PC. After you have specified a location to which the data will be downloaded, you will be prompted to select the area that you would like to download.
