1. While running Pocket CoPilot on my iPaq 5400 series, the application freezes when using the Detour feature or calculating a new route. This causes my device to freeze and reset itself back to the factory defaults. How can I fix this?

Customers running Pocket CoPilot version 3.5.6.14 download the patch and install to your Pocket PC. This will upgrade your version to 3.5.6.22.

NOTE: Customers running Pocket CoPilot 3.5.6.14 installing the patch do not need to uninstall Pocket Speech or delete the map data. Follow the instructions below.

  1. Uninstall your current version from your Pocket PC.
    1. Turn your Pocket PC on.
    2. Tap on Start, Settings, System, Remove Programs.
    3. In the Remove Programs list select Pocket CoPilot and tap Remove.
    4. Do not uninstall Pocket Speech.
  2. Download and install the patch to your Pocket PC.
    1. Save the Pocket CoPilot 3.5.6.22 patch to your desktop on your PC.
    2. Connect your Pocket PC to your PC using your cradle or cable.
    3. Make sure your Pocket PC is connected via Activesync.
    4. Locate the file PocketCoPilot_v3-5-6-22.arm2002.CAB on your desktop, Right click on it and select Copy.
    5. In the Activesync window click on the Explore button.
    6. Double click on the My Pocket PC icon.
    7. Double click on the My Documents folder.
    8. In the My Documents folder, Right click and select Paste.
    9. Once the file is pasted to your Pocket PC take it off it's cradle.
    10. On the Pocket PC go to Start, Programs, File Explorer, My Documents.
    11. In the My Documents folder you should see the PocketCoPilot_v3-5-6-22.arm2002.CAB file you copied over. Tap on the file to execute it.
    12. Once you have executed the file open Pocket CoPilot 3.0 and test the application.
