7. I have Pocket CoPilot hooked up properly and have waited several minutes for a GPS signal but still do not get a signal. What should I do?
- Please make sure the power adapter is plugged in to the cigarette lighter in your car.
- In Pocket CoPilot 3.0 under GPS make sure there is a check mark next to receiving.
- If not please tap on receiving to check it on. If you can not place a check mark next to receiving by tapping on it please perform a Soft Reset by depressing the Reset button on your Pocket PC while our program is open and the GPS unit is connected. The Reset button is a small hole located on the bottom of the iPaq and on the back of the Casio and HP Jornada.
- Once you hit the reset button open the program again and make sure there is a check mark next to receiving.
- IF you still can not place a check mark next to receiving you will need to uninstall Pocket CoPilot 3.0 from your Pocket PC and reinstall to make sure the correct drivers for your GPS sensor are installed correctly.
- To uninstall tap on Start, Settings, System, Remove Programs.
- Select Pocket CoPilot and then tap Remove.
- Select Pocket CoPilot Speech and tap Remove.
- To reinstall insert your Pocket CoPilot 3.0 Install Disk into your PC's CD-ROM.
- When the installation window appears select Install to Pocket PC.
- During the installation process you will be prompted to select your GPS type, select the type included with your purchase and continue with the installation process.
Note: If you choose the incorrect GPS type Pocket CoPilot will not work correctly on the Pocket PC.
- Pocket CoPilot should now work correctly.
